Services I offer:

Online/Virtual Tutoring or in-person for locals. (I'm fully vaccinated)

  • Reading Intervention for struggling readers in grades 1st through 8th grade.
  • Reading, Grammar, and Writing support for English as a Second Language Learners,  grades K - through high school. Conversational English for adult language learners as well.
  • College Essay Help. I work with high school students who need help editing and revising their college essays and/or other writing assignments. Work can be submitted using Google Docs where I will provide suggestions, corrections, and feedback. I have students who have applied to UCs, Cal State, UNLV, UPenn, Penn State, and USC.



Editing/Freelance Work

  • I have experience editing and revising copy including sales emails, sales pages, and video ad scripts.  I also edit Amazon listings, especially for ESL clients. All work is done and shared via Google Docs.

  • Mileage/travel and lodging reimbursed. (Trainings are also offered via Zoom or via Google Meet at the moment.)
Related Experience
  • Master Teacher and Mentor Teacher 2005-2019
  • Redesigned my school's reading intervention program using current research with an emphasis on phonics and phonemic awareness moving away from a sole guide reading approach.  Saw three times the previous growth and graduated 60 students from the program, when previously only 30 were served a year. 
  • Technology in the Classroom Expert, Tech Chair, led and wrote tech school plans and pacing plans with my team of teachers. Designed online report cards for our Powerschool Pearson Platform.
